Minimal Clear Gameboy Pocket

This is maybe my favorite Gameboy I've restored. I almost didn't want to let it go. I actually played a bunch of Kirby on it. But now its ready for a new home.

It has a very pretty Funnyplaying Q5 IPS LCD backlit display with a touch sensor for cycling through settings like color filters and brightness. Some additional love came in the form of a new Funnyplaying speaker, new membranes, buttons, volume wheel, battery contacts, a durable glass screen lens, and premium torx screws. 

The transparent/white aesthetic is consistent throughout the device, including a transparent speaker, label on the back, and white internal wiring to match the membranes and lens. Makes a classy, more lowkey statement, and easily makes space for distraction free gaming.

Note that the contrast wheel effectively does nothing now that it has the backlit display installed, which is controlled by the touch sensor. Unless you count spinning a bit in either direction. It does do that. 

With the backlit display, battery life will vary depending on the capacity and quality of the batteries you use, as well as the level of brightness you keep it at. I recommend finding some rechargeable AAA batteries with good reviews if you don't have any and just keeping a couple sets around if you need to replace the batteries. :)
