Terms of service
1. Pricing and Quotes
If we list a price on our shop or quote you a price for an inquiry, it is the amount we would ideally like to receive and we will obviously try to be fair, being primarily concerned with recouping costs of parts and factoring in labor.
However, even if that price may be what we would like to receive, we think negotiating is appropriate if you are facing financial hardship. Capitalism is hard but it can feel a little lighter when you have your favorite game to play. You don't have to explain anything to us or tell us anything personal. If you would like to suggest a slightly lower price that is more comfortable for your budget, just us me know. We're happy to meet you halfway as long as we don't lose money or else none of this is sustainable. I've watched people walk back out of game stores with a broken console after hearing how much it would cost to repair it and that bums us out.
If you can afford the full price, you should do it though.
2. Returns and Refunds
To start the return or refund process, or check in on anything related, feel free to use the contact form on the Support page or email us at support@flowerpop.net.
For the next 30 days after your purchase or 30 days after the completion of work performed for you, the following terms apply:
A. Items purchased through our shop:
If it is related to a defective part that we installed or if we installed something improperly, or it otherwise does not function as it was presented on the site, we will replace the parts in question or repair it for free. We will pick up/deliver the item or cover the shipping both ways for you. If you simply no longer want the device and wish to pursue a return, we will issue a full refund after receiving the item and verifying it is in the condition we sent it in, but you are responsible for the shipping.
Tldr for shop items – its full refund and you cover shipping, or free repair and we cover shipping.
B. Repairs:
Deposits on repairs are non-refundable. If it is related to a defective part that we installed or if we installed something improperly or it has been returned to your possession with the assumption that the repair work was completed successfully when it is actually malfunctioning, we will replace the parts in question or repair it for free. We will pick up/deliver the item or cover the shipping both ways for you.
We will not issue refunds on repair work. The only exception would be if we have caused damage due to outright negligence. Like, one day I can't remember whether you're supposed to pour salt and water on a PlayStation to clean it or if that's actually a bad idea and then I do it and I'm like, "WAIT FUCK THAT WAS A BAD IDEA. NOW I HAVE TO BUY THIS PERSON A NEW PLAYSTATION." We would then offer you a refund and/or buy you a new PlayStation. You get the idea. But in general. No refunds on repairs.
Tldr for repairs - no refunds, but if the thing I said I would fix is still broken then that's on me, and any accrued work on that issue is free. I cover the shipping.
C. Custom Work:
Deposits on custom work are non-refundable. If the issue is with custom work we've done and it is related to a defective part that we installed or if we installed something improperly or it has been returned to your possession with the assumption that the custom work was completed successfully when it is actually malfunctioning, we will replace the parts in question or repair it for free. We will pick up/deliver the item or cover the shipping both ways for you. If you simply no longer want the device and wish to pursue a return, we will issue a refund for the amount that excludes your non-refundable deposit upon verifying the device is in the condition we sent it in but you are responsible for the shipping.
Tldr for Custom Work: Free repairs and we cover shipping or full refund minus your deposit and you cover shipping.
After 30 days we are still open to helping. We can offer advice or answer any questions for free via email. You are welcome to pursue repairs with us at a discounted rate on the given item.
Together we will determine the nature of the issue in any of these situations. Sometimes issues with older consoles are as simple as, "Clean that spot slightly", and suddenly something is working better. The process may not be nearly as much of a hassle as you might expect. We will value your input and we will make the final call on the state of the console.
3. Shipping
We will package items with care and protection in mind. We have mail horror stories of our own. If an item is shipped to you, we are not responsible for what happens to the package after it leaves our possession. You are responsible for the cost of shipping unless your case is one of the described situations in section 2.
